From a young age, Wendy Yau Sum Cheung harbored a dream of hearing her self-composed music performed by a full orchestra in front of an appreciative audience. Her journey toward realizing this dream began at the University of British Columbia, where she graduated from the composition department, honing her skills as a composer and songwriter.

Musical Successes:
Cheung's talents didn't go unnoticed, as her compositions gained popularity and even made their way onto the Billboard charts in Asia. She embarked on journeys to various Asian cities, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Macao, collaborating on music for movies and TV shows. Despite her successes, Cheung remained steadfast in her desire to create an orchestral musical.

Collaboration with Maestro Ken Hsieh: Ken Hsieh, known for his role as the musical conductor and co-founder of the VMO, played a pivotal role in making Cheung's vision a reality. With his expertise and connections, Hsieh secured the orchestra's involvement and the venue for the performance, ensuring that Cheung's music would be showcased in its full splendor.
